My inner adult child had a Saturday morning to run wild. Completely bypassing the cereal bowl, I went straight for the martini glass! With my favorite cartoon blasting in the living room, I honed in on a box of Rice Krispies and felt compelled to finally do it. Finally, do what you ask? —For years I have been trying to sift through my stellar dive mixology skills and recreate the Jens & Friends Rice Krispy Martini. You see..it is a divine thing that happens inside your mouth when you have one of these! It’s an early childhood taste with a liquor license.

I’m sure you might have gathered that whatever Jens & Friends uses remains mystery to me. But using what I had on hand in my liquor cabinet, I created a legal drinking adult child memory in record time!

Adult-Child Cereal & Milk Martini with RumChata

ADULT-CHILD cereal & milk MARTINI

❖ 2 oz. Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

❖ 2 oz. RumChata

❖ 1.5 oz 2% Milk

❖ Marshmallow Fluff

❖ Rice Krispy Cereal

❖ Rice Krispy Cereal Bar

– Ready. Set. Drink. –

I. While scarfing down a rice krispy cereal bar, use a butter knife to rim the top of the martini glass. Keep in mind…where the marshmallow fluff goes, the cereal will follow, so there’s an opportunity to get festive.

II. In a shaker combine Pinnacle Whipped Vodka, RumChata and Milk. Shake to the chorus of your favorite song inside your head, and pour mixture into martini glass.

III. Marvel at what you have created! Garnish with a piece of Rice Krispy Treat!

Notes:

◈ If you are able to find Marshmallow Vodka! Bravo! If you choose, you may use in place of the whipped vodka for a more true Rice Krispy bar taste.

◈ Non- Dairy Milk in place of the lactose milk is a major win.
